Hockey: PHF takes note of junior team’s failure
PHF has asked the team management to promptly submit a report on players’ performances in the tournament.
KARACHI:
Irked by the junior hockey team’s poor showing in the Sultan of Johor Cup in Malaysia, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has asked the team management to promptly submit a report on players’ performances in the tournament. Pakistan lost four consecutive matches and secured just one win in the league stage. The team eventually finished a dismal fifth in the six-nation event after getting the better of New Zealand in the deciding match for fifth position. According to a PHF official, the team’s manager-cum-coach Rana Mujahid has been requested to prepare a report on the reasons behind the team’s failure.
