Development: ‘Punjab spends Rs71b on social sector’

Government was committed to improving the quality of services in healthcare and education.

LAHORE: The provincial government is spending up to Rs71 billion on the social sector, Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) chairman Raja Anwar said on Sunday. He was speaking to a delegation of students and teachers of PEF partner schools at his residence. He said the government was committed to improving the quality of services in healthcare and education as well as coming up with sound policies for social development. He said education should be the top priority for students.
