Land dispute: Woman’s body found in field

FAISALABAD: A woman was killed in the limits of the Tarkhani police station on Saturday. According to police officials, the body of Bashiran Bibi, 40, was found in a sugarcane field near her house by villagers. Bashiran’s husband Shabbir told police officials that unknown assailants had kidnapped Bashiran Bibi and thrown her body in the fields after killing her with a knife to avenge an old enmity over property. The police registered a case against the accused under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code and are investigating the case.
