ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) lashed out at the government on Friday for its “anti-people policy,” which they said has led to a rise in suicides in the country.

“Even 64 years after independence, Pakistan has failed to become a welfare state because of bad governance,” former MNA Mian Aslam, caretaker of JI’s charitable wing Al Khidmat Foundation, said at a press briefing.
