Murder: Clockmaker, mother shot over money

FAISALABAD: A shopkeeper was shot and killed, while his mother sustained serious bullet injuries over a monetary dispute on Thursday According to police officials, Hafiz Muhammad Ilyas worked as a clockmaker in Chak No122-RB and recently exchanged harsh words with Javaid and his brothers Kashif and Rashid over a monetary dispute. Javaid and his brothers responded by opening fire on Ilyas and his mother. As a result, Ilyas died on the spot while his mother, Shagufta Bibi, was shifted to the DHQ hospital in critical condition. Police officials have taken the body into custody and have started an investigation.
