Out-Laws: Man shot by brother-in-law

He killed Tufail’s daughter after she rejected his marriage proposal several months ago.

FAISALABAD: A man was shot dead by his in-laws in the area of City Jaranwala police station on Friday. According to the police, Chak 126-GB resident Muhammad Tufail and his accomplices shot and killed his brother-in-law Zulifqar Ahmad to avenge a murder. Local residents told police officials that Zulfiqar’s father had allegedly killed Tufail’s daughter a few months ago and that the man was currently serving a prison sentence. “He killed Tufail’s daughter after she rejected his marriage proposal several months ago. He was arrested but Tufail swore vengeance on the entire family,” a neighbour told police. Police officials said that the victim, Zulfiqar Ahmed, was a drug addict and the body was found on the roadside. Police officials have registered a case and started an investigation.
