Ajmal Kasab should be hanged: Malik
Speaking to media on the sidelines of the conference, Interior Minister Rehman Malik declared that Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving gunman in the Mumbai attacks, “is a terrorist, a non-state actor who should go to the gallows”.
He added that a judicial panel is due in India “shortly” to investigate the attacks that killed 166 people, and that if the judicial commission gets evidence of Pakistani involvement in the attacks, it would help the government in prosecuting the accused.
Indian media quoted Manmohan Singh as telling Gilani at the summit that “it is imperative to bring the perpetrators of 26/11 attacks to justice”. Reports also said that Pakistan has promised to bring the trial of the seven suspects belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba in Pakistani custody to conclusion.
Kasab, a Pakistani national, was earlier handed a death sentence but the execution was stayed by the Supreme Court of India.

@goggi: The attackers traveled in the hijacked Indian fishing trawler "Kuber" to escape detection by indian authorities. The Kuber is 25 meters (77 feet) long with a closed cabin area and below deck quarters! Hardly an open "boot" on the ocean with spray soaking the crew! Just a little investigation online would have revealed these (inconvenient) facts to you!

If one has the experience of driving a motor boot in the high seas, then after some hours, the humid sea air covers the body especially the face and head with whitish salt and the hair stick with the scalp! Anybody who claims that this man travelled via sea route to Bombay, should first of all replicate this journey.

Indians need to hire good story tellers - how come 10 armed men penetrate Indian sea waters and reach bombay to wreak havoc, while small fishing vessels who go astray accidentally are caught and Pakistani fishermen arrested. What was the Indian maritime security doing? Watching a Bollywood flick?
With this record, Indians should disband their navy, army, police. Or we can outsource it to US - which you most probably will as we are are the regional poodle of Uncle Sam.

This comment page looks like a poster board for the Indians.And for some reason my comment comparing the fate of Raymond Davis ,who killed two pakistanis and Mr kasab who ,has been found guilty by an Indian kangroo court has not been posted. Let me repeat it here. Kasab is still a Pakistani citizen and has not been found guilty by any pakistani court. It is the moral obligation of the Pakistan government to provide him all legal help,as he is in the hands of the enemy. Mrs Clinton came to the rescue of Raymond Davis, even though he was caught red handed killing the Pakistanis. I really dont believe in Conspiracy Theories but people with gun travelling on a small boat from pak waters to Indian without being undetected looks quite bollywood masla thingie. Not saying that they didnt travel but while fishermen frequently get caught, its not hard to believe there were some on the other side too who could be involved. Eludes any rational mind how they were undetected.

Hedge n ghaznavi Why are we fighting. I think the important thing for us(Indian or Pakistanis) is to find solution to our problems in a civilized manner. We've tried hatred, sarcasm etc for years n it doesn't work. Hedgefunder, You're right in a way but you know it's not gonna fly with the govt and especially with our army. Really, I couldn't care less if Kasab was Muslim, hindu, Christian, Jew or Sikh. He was caught killing 166 innocent men and women. Police caught him, cameras videographed him, witnesses saw him. Courts sentenced him.

@Hamid: Yes with a name like "Ajmal Kasab" he can be be Hindu !!!! Wake up !!! Even when he provided his parents names and his village name, Pakistan still kept on denying the very facts for long time until they were cornered !!!! At least the Indian Judicial process has managed to convict him as charged, which is lot more than can be said about Pakistan's judicial process, where they get released or forgotten in few days time !!!!

Ajmal is most probably an Indian and surely he is a Hindu. In his interrogation video he says the word "Bhagwan re" two times. He is Hindu, and since there are too few hindus in Pakistan, he must be an Indian.

Before suggesting (rather carelessly) a death penalty for a criminal to a foreign sovereign country one must surely consider hundreds of 'Ajmal Qasab' in one's own country that ought to be taken care of first. Nothing but needless flattery I say.
Why don't you start with handing over the other culprits responsible for 2008 attacks, and India will provide them with judicial process and punish them for their crimes too !!! As that is going to be impossible for Pakistan to achieve !!!! That really would improve relations between the two Nations.
