Energy problems: Russian, Chinese support to help resolve crisis

Trip to Russia included discussions on creating energy corridors besides energy clubs.

Federal Minister for Petroleum Dr Asim Hussain on Tuesday said that Russian and Chinese premiers’ support for several projects would help resolve many issues including the chronic energy problem.


The minister talked about Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s meeting with Russian and Chinese leaders at SCO meeting on Pakistan Television’s News Night programme.

He further said that there were discussions about making energy corridors besides energy clubs so that people of the region could have better opportunities and facilities in the days to come.

Dr Asim said that progress and prosperity of this region was the main focus of the leaders of this region.
