A bad movie

ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to your review piece ‘Coffee that lacks punch’ (July 17) on Usman Mukhtar’s self-financed ‘indie’ film Black Coffee.

The review was overly critical. Instead of that, we should try and give some credit to the people who have tried to come forward and do something creative. At the very least, the script is original and is not an adaptation. If criticism has to be made it should be constructive, especially given that the state of the mainstream industry in the country is not very good. Such negative feedback could well discourage educated people from entering the industry, something that it quite desperately needs.
