KARACHI: As with dozens of other summaries, the Sindh High Court found out that another one on an application for employment under the “Deceased Quota” has been pending with the Sindh chief minister for many months. A division bench comprising Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Mohammad Ali Mazhar was hearing a constitutional petition filed by a man named Mast Ali, who claimed to be the son of Ghulam Nabi Dahar, a grade 14 food department employee who expired while in service on July 31, 2009. The petitioner, a law graduate, who did all the paperwork asked to be given a job under the quota reserved in such cases. The summary was sent but no action has been taken yet. When the petition was taken up on Friday, the additional advocate general, appearing for the provincial government, stated that the papers have been lying with the CM and a decision is likely to be made.
