Lahore Police registered a case against a person for calling in a bomb hoax at the Punjab Governor House, Express 24/7 reported on Tuesday.
A person identified as Ahsan called the 15 police emergency hotline saying that a bomb was planted inside the Governor House.
The informer said the bomb is programmed to go off soon.
A large number of policemen and Bomb Disposal Squad officials were rushed to the Punjab Governor House.
But no bomb was found after a search of four hours. Police said the caller provided the wrong address over the phone.
Police have registered a case against the caller under the Telegraph Act.
