Gwadar: Raisani defends making winter capital

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani has made a fervent appeal to all political parties to allow the democratic process to flourish in Pakistan in order to ensure political stability and supported government’s decision to establish a winter capital for the province at Gwadar.

“It is the prime responsibility of all concerned parties to ensure continuity of the democratic process and allow it to flourish further,” Raisani said.  “Political forces should take sensible decisions.” Raisani also defended the establishment of a winter capital for the province at Gwadar saying that it would provide ample opportunities for development of the entire coastal region of Balochistan. Raisani said that with the development of Gwadar’s deep water port, economic activities in the region would flourish. “Enhanced economic activities will improve the quality of life of the people of Balochistan further and develop the provincial economy,” he said.
