LAHORE:

Mozang, Temple Road and Ferozepur Road will be the roads most affected as a result of the PML-N rally after Friday prayers today.

Traffic police has established five entry points for the rally participants. These are Workshop Chowk near Saggian, Data Steel Mill, GPO Chowk, Civil Secretariat on Lower Mall and Shah Alami on Circular Road on The Mall.

SP City Traffic Mustafa Hameed Malik told The Express Tribune that parking areas have been established at all entry points. He said that parking for Workshop Chowk Saggian entrance will be at the Veterinary Hospital, for GPO at Government College cricket ground and at back of Tollinton Market. For secretariat entry at Punjab University ground and Baba Ground. For Circular Road at Shah Alami.

He said that 600-700 wardens will be deputed on these roads, while another 2,250 wardens will be on duty around the city to maintain the flow of traffic. Wardens will be working double shifts to keep the flow of traffic smooth at Ravi Road, Saggian, GT Road, Multan Road and Ferozepur Road as much of the traffic entering the city will be diverted to these roads. Colleges and businesses on Lower Mall will remain closed to avoid traffic problems. City police has been asked to close the route for the rally by 1pm.
