Security: 2,000 policemen to watch out for rally

Tight security arrangements are in place for the PML-N rally today

LAHORE: Tight security arrangements are in place for the PML-N rally today because of the threat to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, The Express Tribune has learnt. Police sources said that around 2,000 police officers will be on duty. Eight entry points have been established, all of which will have walkthrough gates and metal detectors. Additionally each entry point will be supported by an Elite Force car with one upper subordinate and four constables. Snipers will also be deputed along the route of rally. 35 snipers will be deputed in the Civil Lines division and 52 in City division. Pervez Rashid, media spokesperson for PML-N, said that there were sufficient security arrangements for the rally.
