PESHAWAR:
A lively painting competition concluded in Upper Dir on Thursday. Students from various schools participated in the competition, which was based on the theme “Scouting- Bridging the Gap.” They employed water colours to represent their ideas on the subject. The top 15 paintings of students were displayed and judged by a panel. Later, the top 15 paintings in the two categories of girls and boys along with runners-up were awarded prizes. The three best paintings of the contest will be sent to Bangladesh, where they will be presented in an exhibition at the fourth Asia Pacific Regional Scouts Conference next year. On the occasion the executive magistrate said, “I think painting is a powerful medium in raising awareness due to its long-term effect, especially for children. It gives them an opportunity to express their ideas on important and meaningful subjects.”
