RAWALPINDI:

A newly appointed woman police officer was removed from VVIP duty after committing multiple violations police sources said on Tuesday.  Superintendent of Police (SP) Shahida Kausar was issued two letters for violating official protocol.

Sources said that senior police and administration officials were “shocked” when Kausar violated VVIP protocol by moving away from her position to allegedly shake hands with Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani at Chaklala Airbase and then getting into a conversation with him in the presence of senior officers. Soon after, she made another violation and was absent from duty during a VVIP movement. Her third violation led to her removal from VVIP duty and she was directed to manage office work at the traffic police office.

When contacted, Kausar refused to comment.
