Deadly dispute: Doctor shot over petty family issue

A single bullet wounded him in the leg.

QUETTA: A doctor was shot and injured by unidentified assailants in Satellite Town area of Quetta, police said on Tuesday. According to the police, the doctor, identified as Zabiullah, was sitting at his clinic in Goal Masjid area of Satellite Town when some unidentified people barged into the clinic and opened fire at him. A single bullet wounded him in the leg. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Provincial Sandeman Hospital. Police said the incident had occurred over a petty issue. “Exchange of harsh words resulted in the clash,” a police officer said. No arrests have been made.
