Post-Quake Relief: NDMA to send health team to Turkey

NDMA has also planned to establish a field hospital in the quake-hit areas.

ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has decided to send a team of doctors, surgeons and rescue specialists to Turkey to help the earthquake victims. NDMA chairman Dr Zafar Iqbal Qadir said in a statement that the team would be dispatched to Turkey after receiving a green signal from the Turkish government. He said that besides other necessary assistance, the NDMA has also planned to establish a field hospital in the quake-hit areas of Turkey for providing crucial medical help to the victims. Condoling with the Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Babur Hizlan on the tragic loss to life and property due to the quake, Dr Qadir vowed to extend all possible support to the quake victims.
