Prison Perks: Cop booked for giving charas

MULTAN: Mumtazabad Police have registered a case against a constable for providing a prisoner with a cell phone and hashish. According to police officials, Jail Police Constable Nadeem was arrested on Friday after he gave a prisoner, Ghulam Dastagir a cell phone and hashish. Jail officials said that Dastagir belonged to Nadeem’s village and was an influential land lord. “He was trying to win his favour until the man was released but we were informed by one of the other cops on duty,” a police official told reporters. Police officials have registered a case and are investigating.
