Petition: Home Dept gets one more chance

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Friday gave the province’s Home Department a last chance to file reply in petition a writ petition challenging appointment of Inspector General of Prisons (IGP) Kokab Nadeem Warraich. Justice Umar Ata Bandial issued the order after no one appeared before the court - from the Home Department or from the Advocate General’s office - to represent the IGP. Justice Bandial said that on next hearing the court would decide the matter.
