SAO PAULO: Corinthians director of football Edu claims Manchester City are looking for £17.5m for Carlos Tevez in the January transfer window. Edu revealed that he has held meetings with City officials and Tevez’s advisor. Corinthians tried to sign Tevez over the summer but City were not satisfied by the financial guarantees given by the Sao Paulo club. Following the furore over his failure to appear against Bayern Munich, it is believed City are now willing to sell the player for a much lower fee. Corinthians are understood to still be the Argentine’s preferred destination for a move back to South America.
