Snooker: PSB to fund cueists’ training

KARACHI: The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has agreed to provide financial assistance to upcoming cueists in order to help them obtain training from professional coaches abroad. According to the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA), the PSB, in a recent meeting with the association’s president Alamgir Sheikh, agreed to bear all costs for the cueists’ training that will take place in Thailand’s snooker academy. Sheikh also sought a special grant of Rs2.5 million from the PSB to help send cueists for six international tournaments including the World  and Asian Snooker Championships. “The PSB officials have assured to recommend the special grant and increase the annual grant of the association,” said the PBSA media release.
