LAHORE: An Additional District & Sessions Judge on Monday wrote to the medical superintendent Jinnah Hospital for attachment of salary of a female doctor who, despite being summoned by a court in a rape case several times, had not appeared to record her testimony. AD&S Judge Muhammad Saleem, in his letter, stated that medical officer Dr Sadia had conducted the medical examination of a five-year old girl who was raped. Dr Sadia was summoned to record her statement but she has not turned up in court, he wrote. “You are therefore required to attach the salary of the said doctor and submit the report before the court before or on October 20. You are further required to ensure the presence of Dr Sadia before the court on the next date of hearing.
