Police recover expolsives in DI Khan raid

Police foiled a major terrorism bid in Dera Ismail Khan on Monday with timely action on a tip-off.


A suicide jacket and at least 15 kilograms of explosives were seized in the raid.


Police say they received anonymous information about suspected terrorists in the city and raided a house in the city’s uptown locality of Makeen Bund.


The Bomb Disposal Squad was immediately summoned to dismantle the explosives.


Police officials claim terrorists wanted to target police patrolling vehicle in the area with the explosives.


No arrests have been made so far and the police have been unable to identify the group or individuals behind the plot.
