For the record: Constables beat up supervisor for reporting them

Two traffic police wardens severely thrashed and tore the uniform of a traffic post in-charge for marking them absent from duty. According to eyewitnesses, hundreds of people gathered to witness a traffic post in-charge getting beaten up after he marked two constables absent.

“The two constables beat up the man and began kicking him in the street. They were hurling abuses at him because he submitted the report to senior officials,” said eyewitness Karim.

According to officials, traffic wardens Muhammad Usman and Zeeshan Aslam beat up Pensara traffic in-charge Munawwar Ali because he had marked them both absent in the traffic attendance logs and sent a report. “It is my duty to report negligence and that is all that I did,” Munawwar Ali told reporters.


However, Usman and Aslam broke into his room and held a gun to his head. Eyewitnesses said that the constables’ stripped Ali of his uniform and threatened to kill him if he did not revoke the complaint against him.Police officials have registered a case and are searching for the two accused constables.
