LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Friday sought a reply from the interior ministry in a petition by 11 officials challenging the removal of their names from the list of people selected for United Nations peacekeeping mission. The petitioners, six officials of the Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab and five of the Police Department, submitted that they had met the criteria set for selection but were dropped because they had failed a screening test. They said clearing the test was not a requirement for selection. They requested the court to issue directives for the ministry to put their names back on the list. The hearing was adjourned till October 18.
