KARACHI: Trials to select an 18-member Pakistan junior hockey squad will be held at Hockey Club of Pakistan tomorrow. The team will take part in the inaugural eight-nation Sultan Johar Junior Hockey Tournament being held in Johar Baru, Malaysia from November 5. “I’ve seen the boys in action a couple of times and I’m confident that our senior team will be getting good replacements in the future,” said chief selector Hanif Khan. “Despite criticism from some quarters, Pakistan’s hockey future is bright. The basic purpose of participating in the tournament is preparing the juniors for next year’s Junior World Cup.”
