Burning Concerns: Cotton worth Rs20m destroyed in fire

FAISALABAD: Cotton worth Rs20,000,000 was destroyed as a fire broke out in a factory located near Mureedwala late on Tuesday night. According to Rescue 1122 officials, the fire erupted at former MNA M Hamza’s cotton factory near Chak 192-GB, Mureedwala. The fire soon engulfed the entire premises and as a result over 7,000 maunds of cotton stored in the factory were decimated.  Rescue 1122 teams, fire brigade tenders and police reached the scene and brought the fire under control after several hours. Police officials have registered a case and launched an investigation to reveal the cause of the fire.
