terming it unrealistic and against the interest of the trading community.

FAISALABAD: Traders have rejected the new income tax return form, terming it unrealistic and against the interest of the trading community. They have also threatened that if the return form is not modified, they would stage a long march to Islamabad. The traders took the decision in a meeting attended by leaders of different trade organisations. They argued that the new tax return form was complicated that required a lot of information, which negated the government’s policy of providing simple forms for depositing income tax. If changes in the return form were not made in 20 days, the traders announced that they would decide on a future course of action, including holding a long march.
