Pakistan’s Misbahul Haq and Abdur Rehman have been named in The Cricketer magazine’s Test Team of the Year.
Misbah has been named as the Overseas Test Player of the Year by The Cricketer in the magazine’s annual awards after scoring 632 runs in six Test matches at an average of 90.28 over the past 12 months. Misbah has been able to combine outstanding personal form with authority and leadership as the new captain of a young Pakistan side.
He is joined in the magazine’s Test Team of the Year by left-arm spinner Abdur Rehman, who took 29 wickets at an average of 31.82 over the same 12-month evaluation period.

By far he is one of the best cricketing brains every produced by Pakistan. He deserves all the accolades; he should have been in the team given Inzimam had a little vision to include fresh legs than relying on his coterie... Misbah have all the potential to better Y Khan if not M Yousuf. This is quite unfortunate he is inducted so late in the team.
