Football: Afghan FC, HBL record wins

KARACHI: Afghan FC defeated KESC 3-2 in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL), while HBL thrashed Police 3-0 in Quetta yesterday. Azizullah scored the first goal of the match against KESC in the 19th minute before captain Jadeed Khan Pathan doubled the lead in the 39th minute. Pathan added another goal in the 57th minute. KESC’s goals through Aurangzeb Senior’s and Mohammad Rasool in the 69th and 82nd minutes provided mere consolation in the end. Meanwhile, HBL outplayed Police with Zakir Lashari sealing a brace in the 43rd and 70th minute and Mohammad Atif scoring in the 72nd minute to ensure victory.
