Crime: Alleged rapist nabbed

RAWALPINDI: The RA Bazaar police on Monday arrested a man for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl in the Ghaziabad area on Sunday afternoon. According to the police, Irfan*, 22, was apprehended from his shop. Saima* was molested and injured when she went out of her house for some work. The police said the victim’s parents are suffering from hearing impairment. The girl was taken to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Rawalpindi in critical condition. The DHQ Chief Medical Officer, when contacted, informed that the girl had been admitted to the hospital where she was in a stable condition. He said a lady doctor had obtained her blood samples and they were awaiting the results from the laboratory. The police have registered a case against the suspects and started investigations.
