The 14-year old, the only swimmer representing Pakistan at the tournament, made it to the 50-metre (m), 100-m and 200-m breaststroke, 50-m freestyle and 200-m individual medley but finished last in four of the five finals she participated in.
She finished sixth in the 200-m breaststroke final.
Despite the poor show, Swan termed her performance in the tournament an encouraging one.
“It’s been a huge learning experience for me,” Dubai-based Swan told The Express Tribune.
“My priority was the breaststroke events, and I qualified in all three of them. I should have been better but making it to the finals is what matters to me.”
Swan added that she will continue to participate in the events organised by the Pakistan Swimming Federation besides taking part in tournaments being held in Dubai.
