Counsel for Jamil Bugti calls it a ‘clever trick’.

QUETTA:

A judicial magistrate issued on Saturday an arrest warrant for Balochistan’s former home minister, currently a member of the provincial legislature, Mir Shoaib Nausherwani in the Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.

The crime branch team investigating the murder had requested Justice Faisal Hameed to issue an arrest warrant for Nausherwani, one of the accused nominated in the FIR, for his alleged non-cooperation.

The team had contacted the Balochistan Assembly speaker to ask the former home minister to cooperate in the investigation, but he had refused. Formal requests have not been made for issuing arrest warrants for others nominated in the case.

The investigating team had written to the provincial home secretary to seek his approval for obtaining arrest warrants for the others, revealed police sources.

Besides Nausherwani, former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf, former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, former Balochistan governor Owais Ahmed Ghani and former Balochistan chief minister Jam Mir Muhammad Yousaf were also nominated in the FIR.

The Balochistan government had requested the federal government to extradite Musharraf. But the federal government had first asked for his arrest warrant which is required by Interpol for it to issue red warrants to nab fugitives.

Sohail Rajput, counsel for Nawab Bugti’s son, Jamil Bugti, said obtaining an arrest warrant for Nausherwani was a clever move by the government to protect influential offenders who had played a vital role in the assassination.

A related new response: Pakistan Army should eliminate local Taliban activities too along with RAW sponsored Indian Taliban activities in Swat & Baluchistan. They both are evil for peace & civilian casualty. If we only eliminate Indian Taliban that will make India invest more in terrorist activities in Baluchistan by billions of dollars worth of budget they have for Afghanistan. I understand its tempting for Pak to engage India on home-turf after their defense deal with Afghanistan & so shoot two bird with one stone by bleeding Indian economy, like U.S losses in Afghanistan. Only this time it will be Afghan & Baloch blood India will spilling to break Baluchistan for its Own Gain & long time goal of breaking-of-Pakistan. As long as India is manipulating Baloch from across the border there is little hope for Baloch. Iran & India must stop meddling in Pak for us to solve Baloch Issues.

I see Contrary to Pak Citizens general knowledge & inquisitiveness Indians are oblivious to their govt’s & defense involvement in such activities & schemes. Instead they have very superficial & unrealistic optimism for their economy. A fact is U.S. is already removing their offices & centers from India to Singapore & Malaysia after realizing the poor quality of products & services. Another is China’s Good Days are numbered due to their biased & tricky trade tactics U.S. Result: No U.S. Market Share-No windfall of Dollars.

Balochistan | 12 years ago | Reply Its 72 Miles from main city Gawadar. And no wonder its underfunded because federal govt has no interest in issues of Balochistan because we are not part of Pakistan?
