LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday adjourned a case against four policemen including a deputy superintendent (DSP) accused of an extra-judicial killing till October 12 as a revision petition from the accused is still pending in the Lahore High Court.

DSP Riasat Bajwa, Sub Inspector Muhammad Riaz and Constables Muhammad Asif and Abdul Qadir are accused of killing a robbery suspect in custody in Nishtar Colony. They were arrested after an investigation conducted by a deputy inspector general found they had tried to cover up the killing as an encounter.
