Arrest: Target killer caught from Orangi Town

KARACHI: The crime department claim to have apprehended Naveed-ur-Rehman, alias Salar, for allegedly being involved in target killings of over a dozen people. He was caught during a raid in Orangi Town on Friday. The officials said that he was arrested from Bukhari Colony after a tip-off.  A TT pistol was found from his possession. According to SSP Farooq Awan, Rehman confessed to have been involved in the murder of at least 13 people, including political activists. He said that Rehman’s companion, Umair, was also arrested a few days ago. Rehman had been injured and he joined a political party to take revenge from his rivals, added the SSP.
