China to give $5million aid in cash to Pakistan
China has already donated $4.7 million for the flood victims while supplying an additional 7000 tents recently, Foreign Office statement said.
Khar appreciated China's timely assistance and this bears testimony to the time-tested friendship enjoyed by the two countries.
China was the first to announce assistance for flood-hit Pakistanis days before President Asif Ali Zardari launched international appeal for aid.

@bangash! do not forget the Chinese investment along with Chinese direct cash. Atleast investment give benefits to common people. China is real friend. We are spoiled child who needs direct money to buy books, but not books bought by our father.
$5000000 for 20000000 people affected by floods and rains in Sind comes to $0.25 per affectee.In terms of rupees it comes to approx.Rs.22/- per affectee.Indeed a huge sum from a lofty friend. Thank You.

Pakistan-China friendship is said to be higher than the Himalayas. Height of Mt. Everest is 8848 meters.
Thickness of US$ 1 bill is 0.11 mm. Stack of 5 million US$1 bills will be 550,000 mm or 550 meters tall.
Doesn't seem like the friendship is quite as high as Pakistani leaders claim. For ~$80 million it may start to measure up.

How will Pakistan pay back such a huge amount to its all weather friend? To demonstrate its gratitude, Pakistan should lease the Gwadar port to China for the next one thousand years, without any rental or service charge!
This shows the depth of relationship between China and Pakistan. This also shows what would happen after the US and Western aid is stopped. This amount must be "enough" to alleviate poverty from Pakistan. While a tiny country like Greece is getting hundreds of billions of $$ in aid from its neighbors, Pakistan is more than happy to receive "high five".

Pak-China friendship is lofty than Himalayan mountains and deeper than Atlantic Ocean or the Sea of China.
Why China is interested in giving such a 'HUGE GRANT' to Pakistan when it is itself in dire economic situation. If he is so generous and sincere to Pakistani brothers why don't it helps Pakistan in overcoming energy crisis or help support Solar Energy Projects or the small amount of money is being paid just to take control of "Gwadar Port".
