LIVERPOOL: The father of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney was arrested yesterday in connection with an alleged football betting scam from his home in Liverpool. The development comes after a nine-month investigation into the sending off of Motherwell midfielder Steve Jennings in a Scottish Premier League game. Jennings was also arrested in connection with the betting probe. A total of nine people were arrested yesterday.
