Cricket: McLaren replaces Morkel

Cricket South Africa (CSA) have named all-rounder Ryan McLaren as a replacement for Albie Morkel in the Proteas’ squad for the two Twenty20s against Australia. Morkel suffered a slight tear to his abdominal muscle while playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the Champions League Twenty20 and is expected to be sidelined for between four and six weeks. “Although it’s a blow to lose Morkel, McLaren has always done well for us in this format,” said convener of selectors Andrew Hudson.
