Joint investigation team formed to probe Darbar attack: Lahore CCPO

Lahore CCPO told the LHC that a joint investigation team has been formed to probe into the Data Darbar attacks.

LAHORE: Lahore CCPO Mohammad Aslam Tareen told the Lahore High Court (LHC) during a suo moto hearing on the Data Darbar attack that a joint investigation team has been formed to probe into the incident.

Submitting an initial inquiry report, the CCPO informed the court that so far no strong evidence has been found to track down the terrorist network behind the attacks.

During the hearing, Chief Justice Khwaja Sharif said it is important to determine whether or not the incident took place due to security lapse.

The court has adjourned the hearing till July 23.
