Negligence: Police fail to provide relief to people
Looted 24 carats of gold ornaments, 10 carats of silver jewellery, Rs60,000 in cash, pistols and other valuables.
ISLAMABAD:
The First Information Report (FIR) for a robbery which occurred at the house of Rehmatullah in broad daylight three months ago has still not been registered, sources said on Sunday. The victim repeatedly visited the police station, but claims that concern officials are using delay tactics. Rehmatullah then went to the Rawalpindi City Police Officer to seek help. The daylight robbery incident occurred at Rehmatullah’s house in Rahim Town, New Shakrial on July 2. Three armed men held his family hostage and looted 24 carats of gold ornaments, 10 carats of silver jewellery, Rs60,000 in cash, six watches, pistols and other valuables. The victims handed in an application to the Sadiqabad police on the same day, but the police did not register a report.
