Scores of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) workers marched from Ghotki to Ubauro to protest against tribal feuds and lawlessness in the district.
The march was led by Zakir Bozdar and Sahib Khan Ghoto. People on motorcycles and Suzuki vans emerged from Ghotki and passed through Mathelo Momal ji Mari, Mirpur Mathelo and Daharki, before ending at Ubauro, where the protestors staged a demonstration and chanted slogans.
They expressed their anxiety over the loss of innocent lives because of disputes between Kosh-Solangi, Mahar-Gabole, Ghoto-Pitafi, Gadani-Loond, Gadani-Bozdar and other tribes. According to them, most of the disputes erupted over minor issues which could have been resolved by the elders of the clans.
The protesters said that tribal feud is a major setback in development of the district, being undertaken by multi-national companies based in the area.
