The Supreme Court (SC) disposed of review petitions which the PCO judges had filed after receiving contempt of court notices.
The PCO judges whose petitions were disposed of include Shabbar Rizvi, Hasnat Ahmed Khan, Hamid Ali Shah and Iftikhar Chaudhry.
Speaking to the media, counsel for PCO judges, Dr Abdul Basit said contempt of court proceedings stand null and void under section 10-A of the constitution.
He said since there is no clause in the constitution dealing with such cases, therefore, the court has disposed of the review petitions.
