The seminar was organized by the Peace Homeopathic Health Foundation and The Homeopathic Medical College (HMC) Gujranwala on Friday. Homeopathic and allopathic doctors, students, City District Government officials and large numbers of citizens attended the seminar. Speaking on the occasion HMC principal Dr Zagham Hafeez said that several homeopathic medicines could help in strengthening the immune system and were proving effective in combating dengue fever.

“We all need to play our part in fighting this epidemic. We must ensure that our homes are clean and there shouldn’t be any ponds of fresh water in our surrounding,” he said. Deputy Director Information Department Chaudhary Karamat Ali said the district government had taken preventive steps to curb dengue and so far just eight patients of dengue were under treatment in THQ Hospital. He said Gujranwala wasn’t far from Lahore and the virus could reach the area through travelers.
