Boxing: Hatton considered taking his life

LONDON: British boxer Ricky Hatton has revealed he considered suicide after the devastating defeat to Manny Pacquiao which effectively ended his career. “A lot of people say that I tried committing suicide, but there’s a difference between saying it and doing it, though the thought came to me regularly.” Hatton confirmed his retirement in July, more than two years after his one-sided defeat against Pacquiao in Las Vegas in May 2009.
