Man shoots son, then turns gun on himself

KARACHI:

A man allegedly shot dead his five-year-old son before turning the gun on himself and committing suicide following a domestic dispute in Shah Rasool Colony, Clifton, on Friday.

The bodies of the man and his son were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

The deceased were identified as 28-year-old Tanveer and five-year-old Hasnain.

Police recovered a 30-bore pistol and two spent bullet casings from the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest that, during an argument over financial matters with his wife, Tanveer took his young son into a room and shot him dead before shooting himself.
