Fresh housing loan applications to be invited

LAHORE:

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities to ensure timely achievement of all targets set for the Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar scheme, approving the invitation of fresh applications for loans.

She was informed in a meeting that more than 1.7 million people had registered on the portal, over 225,000 loans had been disbursed and 128,718 houses completed.

A total of 171,597 beneficiaries have received the second installment of their loans and 62,600 houses are nearing completion.

The scheme has achieved a loan recovery rate of 97.6 per cent, with installments amounting to Rs22.29 billion paid.

The application process for the Apni Chhat, Mehfooz Chhat scheme has also been completed.
