Women entrepreneurs showcase talent

QUETTA:

Balochistan's women possess abundant entrepreneurial skills and creative talent; what they need are proper platforms, financial support and access to national and international markets.

This was stated by Adviser to the Chief Minister on Women's Development, Dr Rubaba Khan Balidi, while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Women Entrepreneurs Network Exhibition (WEXNET) 2026 at Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) as chief guest.

She described WEXNET not merely as an exhibition but as a historic step towards introducing Balochistan's women entrepreneurs at the national level and linking their products to global markets. The two-day event has been organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Quetta in collaboration with the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBoIT) and the Department of Women's Development. More than 100 women entrepreneurs from across the province are participating with their products and business ideas.
