Nobody Wants This actress Tovah Feldshuh has addressed reports of disagreements among the Netflix series' cast following Adam Brody's public comments on the Israeli genocide in Palestine.

Feldshuh, 77, took to Threads on Friday, 30 October, to reject suggestions that tensions were escalating between cast members.

“Tensions are NOT RISING. Profound differences of opinion are,” she wrote. “Please do not conflate the two — And none of it will be brought to the set.”

She added, “I deeply enjoy filming NWT and hope we are chosen to go on for a fourth season.”

Her comments followed an interview in which Brody, who portrays Rabbi Noah Roklov, shared his views on the violence in Gaza.

Speaking to GQ, the actor said: “I have spoken a lot about it privately. I haven’t spoken much about it publicly.”

He continued: “Put me down as thinking it’s a genocide. Put me down as wanting a free Palestine.”

Feldshuh, who plays Brody's on-screen mother, Bina, expressed a different perspective during an interview with the New York Post.

“To accuse the Jewish people of genocide is wild,” she said. “It’s right out of Hitler’s playbook. You take the victim and you make the victim the perpetrator.”

Despite their differing views, Feldshuh emphasised her commitment to maintaining a professional working environment, stating,“My job, as Bina but also as Tovah, is to love the people on set at my place of work, to be kind.”

The discussion comes as Nobody Wants This, created by Erin Foster, continues with its third season on Netflix.

The romantic comedy follows Rabbi Noah and Joanne, played by Kristen Bell, as they navigate a relationship across religious and cultural differences.
