Saudi envoy visits Dino Valley, highlights Pakistan's tourism potential
Says exploring a country's natural beauty, engaging with people adds valuable human dimension to official relations

Newly appointed Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Rajeh Tami Albugamy explored Islamabad's tourism potential during a visit to Dino Valley and highlighted the role of tourism and people-to-people engagement in strengthening bilateral relations, according to a post shared on X by the Press Attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan, Saif Nasser.
In the post, Nasser said Albugamy had enjoyed the "natural beauty and scenic landscapes" of Pakistan's capital during his visit to the tourist destination.
"Moments like these go beyond simply enjoying a destination; they reflect the true essence of public diplomacy," he said.
He stated that exploring a country's natural beauty and tourism potential, while engaging with its people and culture, helped foster people-to-people ties and added "a valuable human dimension to official relations".
"These bonds are further strengthened by the warmth, authenticity, and renowned hospitality of the Pakistani people," Nasser said.

Albugamy was appointed Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Pakistan in July, replacing Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, who had served in the position for nearly nine years.
The new envoy arrived in Islamabad on September 26 to assume his diplomatic responsibilities. A retired major general, he later joined the Saudi Foreign Ministry with the rank of ambassador and holds a doctorate in Human Resource Management from Brunel University London.
He presented his diplomatic credentials to President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on October 14. During their meeting, President Zardari underscored the close strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and reiterated Islamabad's commitment to the Kingdom's security and defence.
The president also stressed the need to deepen economic ties, appreciated Saudi Arabia's financial support and assistance with oil supplies, and expressed confidence that bilateral relations would reach new heights during Albugamy's tenure.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also welcomed the ambassador, reaffirming Pakistan's commitment to strengthening cooperation across various sectors.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar subsequently met Albugamy and reiterated the two countries' shared commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation for mutual progress and prosperity.
